International Families

Welcome to Montessori Córdoba

Moving to Córdoba with children can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to make the transition smooth and supportive for your whole family.

As a bilingual international Montessori school serving ages 6 months to 12 years, we specialise in helping international families integrate quickly while nurturing your child’s love of learning in a peaceful, flexible, nature-rich environment.

How we support your child’s transition

We create a personalised adaptation plan for every new child, starting with observations and a gradual introduction to the classroom.

  • A “buddy” from the mixed-age group helps them settle in during the first weeks.
  • Flexible start dates and schedules accommodate travel or jet lag, with close monitoring by English-speaking guides trained in child development and language acquisition.

Our focus on readiness over age—with mixed-age groupings—allows children with limited language skills to integrate naturally, without pressure to keep up with curriculum objectives at the same pace as fluent speakers. This ensures a natural fit, even for mid-year or short-term arrivals.

The Montessori method, as an “Aid to Life,” means curricular activities are highly individualised and based on what each child most needs at that moment.

Language work can precede other lessons, and work can even be produced in the mother tongue initially, so children feel productive and included during their transition to a new language and culture. All children advance at their own pace, so initial language barriers don’t leave them feeling different from classmates.

Language immersion that builds confidence

Language immersion that builds confidence

No prior Spanish or English is needed; we welcome children at any language level.

  • Infant Community (walking to ~3 years): Full English immersion with sensory and practical activities to spark curiosity.
  • Children’s House (3–6 years): English-focused, with songs, stories, and hands-on language materials.
  • Elementary (6–12 years): Primarily English (70–80%) with Spanish (20–30%), transitioning to bilingual; children gain fluency naturally through group work, strong community ties, and “Going Out” excursions.

Our international team (native English speakers from the UK, America, Ireland, etc.) ensures your child feels understood and thrives academically and socially. The language of socialising and play among children is overwhelmingly Spanish, immersing international newcomers in a fun, motivating environment to learn without academic pressure from day one.

Practical support for parents relocating

We guide you every step, from pre-arrival to settling in:

  • Free admissions call to discuss your child’s needs, previous school reports, and timeline (short- or long-term).
  • Assistance with Spanish enrolment documents and proof for visas/residency.
  • Orientation sessions covering routines, calendars, and the school app for daily updates.

Most of our staff know exactly what it’s like to move to Córdoba with limited language skills, so we’re on hand for advice, tips, and to lend an empathetic ear.
We’re expat-friendly, with diverse families (US, UK, Europe) and easy bus access near family suburbs.

What families say

We moved from San Diego four years ago and found this school perfect for transitioning to a new culture while keeping English and Montessori. My two children grew in independence, had fun, and felt cared for. Now entering secondary, they’re ready for the next chapter. Thank you!
Jenny Anne Glikman, San Diego, California
We enrolled our 9- and 7-year-olds last year and it was an extremely rewarding experience. Teachers Laura and Gloria were attentive and made their transition perfect. The bright, modern classroom and joyful community—staff, kids, parents—were wonderful. I can’t recommend this school enough!
