I had the opportunity to visit Montessori Córdoba International School as part of the Erasmus+ programme for teachers. I came from Poland as a preschool and primary school teacher, special education teacher, and psychologist. What touched me most was the inclusiveness of the school, the harmony present in everyday life, and the deep respect visible in every interaction. In line with the Montessori philosophy, children are truly free in their educational process — and at the same time, they show remarkable self-discipline, responsibility, and independence. Students are immersed in an environment that awakens curiosity and supports natural learning. Teachers act as guides rather than authority figures, accompanying children with respect, attentiveness, and trust in their potential. Every person I met in the school was kind, open, and genuinely engaged. This school gave me hope that there are still places where education is alive, meaningful, and inspiring — where learning is not based on pressure or fear, and where adults are not “dictators,” but supportive companions in a child’s development. I truly wish every child could experience this kind of education.

We had the great pleasure of visiting this Montessori school in Córdoba as part of the Erasmus+ programme. We came from Poland, from Lalilu Creative Preschool and Primary School, for a job shadowing experience at Montessori Córdoba International School. We would like to sincerely thank Lucy, the owner and director, for her warm welcome and for giving us the opportunity to experience the school in its daily life. We are also deeply grateful to the entire staff for their kindness, openness, and support throughout our visit. The teachers were always approachable and generous with their time, which made this experience very meaningful for us as educators. This is a school that leaves a lasting impression. The learning environment is calm, purposeful, and beautifully prepared. The children are truly at the center of everything - independent, confident, and deeply engaged in their work, showing focus, responsibility, and genuine joy in learning. Equally inspiring is the social atmosphere, where children interact with kindness, respect, and cooperation, building a strong sense of community. The teachers contribute with a calm and observant presence, guiding only when needed and supporting children’s autonomy. Overall, this is an inspiring example of Montessori education in practice, where independence, concentration, and respect are clearly lived every day.

I visited the school and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere, the facilities and, of course, the teaching methods. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail. The working environment in the classrooms is particularly striking, and you can see how independent and motivated the children are, as well as how proactive and responsible they are. In short, it is an exceptional school.

My child just finished Elementary after seven years at this school, where he started at Children's House. I feel deeply grateful for this institution and all the people who work there. Undoubtedly, it has contributed, in a decisive way, to making him a healthy and brilliant 12-year-old boy, both personally and academically. Yes, I would choose this school again (definitely!!). We enrolled our 9 and 7-year-old children at this school last year and discovered that it was an extremely rewarding experience. Their teachers, Laura and Gloria, were very attentive and helped make their transition to the school perfect. The classroom was bright and modern, but above all, I found that the school community was a joy. The staff, the children, and the parents were all wonderful. I can't recommend this school enough!

Excellent school. We’ve been at this school for 5 years and we’re delighted. The guides (teachers) are wonderful and very well trained. The administrative team is fantastic. The overall atmosphere is very pleasant and peaceful. It also has an eco-friendly cafeteria!

When searching for a school, we looked at many options. This school seemed to offer the best conditions for his emotional development, autonomy, and learning. We made the right decision. The child is happy, and we are at peace knowing he is in the best hands. His level of autonomy is incredible. The approach respects his learning pace, allowing him to absorb subjects in a very natural way. This will facilitate his learning and the assimilation of knowledge for his entire life. We share the values with which he is growing, and this coherence strengthens them. The emotional work will be fundamental in his future and will help him integrate and adapt to the needs of today's companies. I am a businesswoman, and I deal daily with the consequences of curricula that have not prepared us to manage emotions or provided the flexibility to adapt to a changing world. This hinders communication, the creation of healthy bonds, and teamwork. The Montessori methodology allows for the holistic development of my son in a 100% inclusive, safe environment and prepares him for the future.

A unique school in Córdoba. After being in another school and visiting many others in the city, this has been the best choice we could have made. The environment is admirable, the guides are fantastic, and the respectful education is tailored to each child's development. It is absolutely recommended.

After four years with my two children at this school, I can say that I made the best possible decision. Their autonomy in decision-making, their work ethic, the respect they show towards others, the development of critical thinking, and the way traditional subjects are approached in a more reasonable and constructive way all allow me to see the intellectual and emotional growth I hoped for in both of them. The guides are wonderful—attentive to our children, aware of their good and bad days, and always ready to address any questions we may have as parents.

Magnificent school in Córdoba city. I'm grateful to have this educational option in my city. My two children have been here for four years, and every day I see the results of this investment in an education that respects each child’s pace and interests. In addition, having native-speaking teachers makes the language immersion excellent. I highly recommend it.

We moved from San Diego, California, to Córdoba four years ago. We immediately discovered that this school was perfect for transitioning into a different culture while maintaining both English and the Montessori philosophy. We absolutely love this school! They were so welcoming to our daughters when they began this past fall. We love the balance of English and Spanish and the teachers and staff are spectacular. So warm and the school itself is beautiful- wonderful community with other parents too!

Exceptional school, everyone is like a family, and the closeness, attention and affection towards the students is unbeatable. The way of working is amazing. I have had the opportunity to do internships at the school, and it is amazing how the children learn daily and the motivation with which they work independently with the different materials. We have two children, Pepe and Rebeca, who are autonomous in their decisions; they defend their ideas with debate and good arguments, and they know that with interest and perseverance, you can learn anything (Pepe learned to play the piano thanks to a classmate) and, most importantly, they respect turns when speaking, each other's work, and each other's opinions, no matter how different they may be from their own. The school has undoubtedly helped us get the best out of our family. I’m sure I’m leaving them in the best environment to learn. A school like this in Andalusia is so difficult to find! Our children have attended this school for several years, so I think we can now provide an informed global perspective to write a review. From our initial visit, we noticed the teachers' dedication and commitment to their students. The way they interact with children is admirable, demonstrating genuine concern for their well-being and individual development. The teachers are mostly native speakers, so the children learn English in the best possible way and at the most appropriate stage of their development. One of the things that impressed me the most was the autonomy that is encouraged at school. The Montessori methodology allows children to make decisions and assume responsibilities according to their level of development. This is crucial for their personal growth, as they learn to trust their abilities and develop independence from an early age. The main school building is very nice and bright. Furthermore, the wide range of educational materials and resources available at the school are exceptional. These materials are specifically designed to promote active and hands-on learning, allowing our children to learn in an experiential and participatory way. This diversity of tools allows them to explore different knowledge areas and discover their interests. I also want to highlight the importance given to respect and collaboration at this school. Children learn to work as a team, respect the opinions of others and resolve conflicts constructively. These social and emotional skills are fundamental to their comprehensive development and future insertion into society. The society and world of work of the future will require people who know how to think for themselves and are capable of adapting to changes and new challenges. I wish this type of education were integrated into the national educational system. However, I hope that by showing that it can be done with success stories like this, eventually, change will come. Our children are super happy, as are we as parents, for having chosen this school that values and promotes the comprehensive development of children. I would have loved to have had such a cool school when I was little.
